The serious effort to establish a school of this diamension came to fruition only in 1983 and it started functioning as an English medium nursery school upto Std IV. From 1999 onwards it was changed as a public school following CBSE syllabus. In 2006 the school was granted affiliation by CBSE Board Delhi. This is a catholic institution established by sisters of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (SABS) of Changanacherry Province. The school is managed by Chantal Educational and Charitable Trust Reg.No.IV/96/2005.
Our school provides ample opportunities for the children to acquire and polish skill in curricular as well as co-curricular activities. Various Clubs like Nature club, Literary club, Debate club, Quiz club, Science club, Social studies and maths club conduct their programmes on a regular basis. From 2009 onwards our batch secured 100% result in the CBSE Board examination.
We belongs to "Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament" (SABS) , also known as "Adoration Congregation " is an indeginous religious congregation for women, of Pontifical Right, belonging to the Syro-Malabar Catholic Major Archiepiscopal Church. The members of the congregation bear witness to the Eucharistic Lord by professing the public vows of obedience, chastity and poverty.
The Congregation was founded by Venerable Mar Thomas Kurialacherry , the first Bishop of Changanacherry, witnessed the merciful love of Christ, faithfully living out his motto, "Renew everything in Christ".
He was born at Champakulam (Kerala) in Kurialacherry family on January 14, 1873. He was fortunate indeed to have his priestly studies in Propaganda college, Rome . Following his ordination on May 27, 1899 he served as vicar in the parishes of Chennamkary, Kavalam, Edathua and Champakulam. Mar Thomas Kurialacherry was consecrated bishop on 3rd Dec. 1911. Upon taking charge of the vast and teeming diocese, the Servant of God committed himself with all his energy and divine help to the spiritual renewal of the Church. His apostolic activities were inspired and sustained by his profound devotion to the Holy Eucharist.
Mother Mary Francesca de Chantal fondly called 'Shantalamma' who cooperated with Mar Thomas Kurialacherry in founding the congregation was recognized as the Co-Foundress of the Adoration congregation.
Mother Chantal's contribution to the congregation as the First member and Co-Foundress was a consequence of her immense love for Jesus in the Eucharist. This divine love was depicted in herlove for all others and for the growth of the congregation, overcoming innumerable obstacles.
Being a strong advocate of education, Mar Thomas started several educational institutions including St. Berchman's College at Changanacherry. he saintly bishop died in Rome on June 2nd, 1925. His mortal remains were brought back to Changanacherry in 1935 and interred in the Metropolitan Cathedral Church. The continuous stream of pilgrims to his tomb and the graces and favours received through his intercession, gave impetus to the desire of seeing Mar Thomas raised to honours of the altar for the greater glory of God and the good of His people. The cause of beatification was started in 1983 and the diocesan process was completed in 1991. The "positio" illustrating the heroic virtues of the Servant of God was submitted to the Sacred Congregation for the cause of Saints in 1996. Now we have 16 Provinces as worldwide.
